1. What Operating Systems are compatible with Think Fire-n-Ice drives? (Back to top)

Macintosh - OS 8.6 and higher, including OS X. Versions 8.6 - 9.0 require
FireWire drivers that may be downloaded directly from the Apple website.
For best results use Macintosh OS 9.1 or higher and/or OS X version 10.1.1
or higher.

PC - Windows 98se and higher, including Windows ME, 2000, and XP.


2. I have Macintosh OS X and my drive is not showing up on the desktop? (Back to top)

If your OS X system is not recognizing your Fire-n-Ice drive make sure you
running OS X 10.1.1 or higher. The upgrade may be downloaded free via
Apples website. If you are still experiencing problems please contact our
technical support deptartment.


3. I have Windows 98se upgrade and I cannot see my Fire-n-Ice drive?
(Example: I have upgraded from Win95 or Win98 to Win 98se)?

Download and install the update for Plug & Play FireWire support
from Microsoft's website.

Yes, with system 9.1 or later including Macintosh OS X 10.1.1.

The drive may not have a proper boot partition.
Use FDISK to create a partition & then format the drive (This will overwrite
any existing data!!).
