The Open-E Data Storage Software V6 (DSS V6) is a unified
file and block storage management operating system (OS) that
provides Network Attached Storage (NAS), iSCSI, InfiniBand
and Fibre Channel Storage Area Network (SAN) functionality.
Open-E DSS V6 provides superior performance, security, and
scalability at a fraction of the cost of alternative storage
offerings. Advanced features of Open-E DSS V6 include Data
and Volume Replication, Volume Snapshot, Automatic Failover
for iSCSI Volumes, WORM and NDMP. Additionally, Open-E DSS
V6 supports a wide variety of hardware RAID platforms from
the industry’s leading names. The versatility of the
Open-E DSS V6 also allows users to combine NAS systems with
iSCSI SAN systems, and provides built-in virus protection,
while enabling the connection of multiple Network Interface
Controllers, including Gigabit Ethernet, 10 Gigabit Ethernet,
Fibre Channel and InfiniBand. Open-E DSS V6 is easily downloaded
to any hardware deivce for simplified access. |

product for 365 days from date of purchase.
You can renew your support for DSS V6 or DSS V6 Lite from
selecting the Open-E Support plans after your 1 year term

Per Incident 24x7 Support
The Per Incident Support is a Fee-based charge of $399.00
for Open-E products only and is a pay per incident support
case per Serial Number.
The Per Incident Support is provided 24hrs including week
days, weekends and holidays.
When contacting the support center please provide all contact
information (name, phone number and email address) and the
Serial Number of your Open-E product.
The Serial Number can be found on the USB or IDE module from
the label on the back side or from the GUI located in the
Help>About page.
Additionally, please be ready to provide logs from the GUI,
this can be downloaded from Status>Hardware>Logs - then
click on the download button.
Please make sure that you have registered your Open-E product.
If not please refer to link below as this will allow you to
access software updates for your module.

Once contacting the After-hours Support representative and
providing all information, a support engineer will be located
to contact you in regards to your issue. In some instances
during high call volumes this can take up to 4 hours to respond
from the time of receiving your call.

The storage capacity of Open-E products may be extended in
an easy and convenient manner by purchasing additional storage
licenses.
Extension keys for capacities of 2, 4, 8, 16, and 32 terabytes
are available - additional storage licenses sum up, and add
to the value of the expanded product. This option allows the
administrator to better manage and plan storage resources,
and only increase overall storage capacity when necessary. |
