FIPS Encrypted Data Storage - External Hard Drives

If you lose your external hard drive – who’ll be looking at your data?

The Think Fire-n-Ice FEDS Drives (FIPS Encrypted Data Storage) desktop and mobile drives feature FIPS 140-2 approved software modules providing customers with fast, secure, convenient and affordable storage solutions of 16TB or more.

Each external drive features internal SATA II or SAS hard drives for optimal performance. Interfaces range from USB 3.0, USB 2.0, eSATA, FireWire and FireWire 800, including single, dual and quad external interfaces. Encryption can be set “on-the-fly” and access to user-defined, multiple encrypted data partitions is secured by each users “hashed” password. The 256-bit AES encryption software is tested and validated to the FIPS 140-2 standard by NIST accredited testing labs.

FEDS drives come in a variety of mobile and desktop enclosures to meet your personal preferences and requirements. Even “Red” and “Green” mobile drives are also available for controlled deployment in secure data environments and include custom engraving or ID labeling at your request.*

*Regarding the option for the “Keep Your Broken Drive”; Based on the specific requirements of certain agencies and organizations, you may be required to keep your physical hard drive in the event of failure due to a defect in manufacturing. Under our KYBD program, you may request a replacement of the entire integrated hard drive. However, before physical destruction of the devices, you must contact our RMA technical support team who will request specific serial numbers and other reporting requirements. This option is only available to approved government agencies and organizations at ThinkCP’s sole discretion.

**Regarding “Advance Exchange Warranty”; In the event that your drive becomes defective under the Advance Exchange Warranty, we will ship a new replacement drive before receiving the defective product. You will still be liable for the cost of the replacement drive unless it is determined that the initial drive was damaged due to a manufacturer’s defect. Security in the form of a credit card, purchase order or other approved method is required prior to shipment of the advance exchange item. Upon confirmation of the defect, any security deposit submitted will be returned in its entirety.

*Regarding the option for the “Keep Your Broken Drive”; Based on the specific requirements of certain agencies and organizations, you may be required to keep your physical hard drive in the event of failure due to a defect in manufacturing. Under our KYBD program, you may request a replacement of the entire integrated hard drive. However, before physical destruction of the devices, you must contact our RMA technical support team who will request specific serial numbers and other reporting requirements. This option is only available to approved government agencies and organizations at ThinkCP’s sole discretion.

**Regarding “Advance Exchange Warranty”; In the event that your drive becomes defective under the Advance Exchange Warranty, we will ship a new replacement drive before receiving the defective product. You will still be liable for the cost of the replacement drive unless it is determined that the initial drive was damaged due to a manufacturer’s defect. Security in the form of a credit card, purchase order or other approved method is required prior to shipment of the advance exchange item. Upon confirmation of the defect, any security deposit submitted will be returned in its entirety.
